Rehabilitation Program

Rehabilitation Undergraduate Sequence of Study

The general rehabilitation major prepares students for entry level human service positions in state agencies, programs for persons with disabilities in the private sector and group homes. Many graduates are employed in school transition programs, mental health facilities, corrections, private agencies serving persons with a variety of disabilities and social service agencies.

A B.S. degree is a tentative career commitment. It is highly recommended that a student pursue, as many do, a master's degree to develop specialized skills and make a professional commitment.

Students must complete their freshman/sophomore general education requirements prior to applying to the major and registering for upper-division courses. A student must complete 120 acceptable units to graduate (including a minimum of 42 upper division).

The program of study meets requirements for being listed in the Undergraduate Registry of the Commission on Rehabilitation Education (CORE).
