The Office of Admissions, Advising, and Student Services, located in Education 247 (the southwest corner of the Education College) is the first stop for any undergraduate student who wants to learn more about the College's programs and opportunities. We provide academic advising to current and prospective College of Education undergraduate students, manage the college admissions process, and coordinate college events, such as freshman orientation, the New Candidate Reception, and the Teacher Career Fair.

Here are just a few of the services and resources we are responsible for:

  • Providing academic advising to current Pre-Education, Pre-Physical Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Secondary Education (in English, Extended English, History, Political Science, Social Studies, and Spanish), Special Education undergraduates, post-baccalaureate, and Teach for Tucson Master's Program students;
  • Providing information about the College of Education’s undergraduate programs to prospective students, including high school and transfer students
  • Overseeing the admissions process to the college
  • Providing information on becoming certified to teach in Arizona, including information on the AEPA and fingerprint clearance
  • Planning programs such as the Orientation program for new Education majors; AEPA practice tests; Certification Day; Freshman Orientation College Meetings; Teacher Career Day and the New Teacher Candidate Reception
  • Providing information on gaining experience working with children and on available teaching positions.

The Office of Student Services has lounge for students to relax between classes that has a computer with Internet access and a courtesy phone.
