- Development Associate
 Julia Barrett Johnson, a native Tucsonan, graduated from the University of Arizona after having spent three undergraduate years at Scripps College. Her M.A. degree was awarded in 1996 by the UA College of Education. Johnson has been employed by the University of Arizona since 1979 with the majority of her time serving the College of Education. For over 20 years, she was a member of the Arizona office of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools assisting with accreditation services for over 400 K-12 schools throughout Arizona. Her latest assignment has been as a development associate with the Office of Development, Scholarships and Alumni Relations. Julie has had major responsibility facilitating the activities of the College of Education Alumni Council. Johnson has also spent many years as a community volunteer. Her emphasis has been in advocacy work ranging from assisting with the restoration of La Casa Cordova in the Tucson Museum of Art complex to collaborating to establish a free clinic, in conjunction with the Episcopal church, in the border towns of Naco, Arizona and Sonora. She continues to serve on several community boards.
