Future Teachers Club

The Future Teachers Club is open to any student interested in the teaching profession. Meet other education majors, learn more about teaching, and participate in social activities. Future Teachers Club website

WordCats*MathCats

WordCats*Math Cats provides students with experience in an elementary school classroom. Work Study and paid positions may be available. WordCats*Math Cats website

Colloquium Courses

These one-credit courses are specially designed for freshmen and other students exploring their career options.

TTE 195A: Introduction to the Profession of Teaching covers current issues in K-12 teaching and their application to classroom instructional practices and procedures.

TTE 197A: Freshman Success helps students feel a sense of connection to the College of Education and the teaching profession. Students will learn about the college's programs and services, develop a graduation plan, gain a deeper understanding of the education field, and much more.

Freshman Welcome

This event is typically held at the College of Education during the first week of the school year to welcome new freshmen. Invitation postcards will be mailed to incoming freshmen this summer.
